Extraordinary hand-knitted garment made from soft, luxurious baby llama wool. TONJA is a chunky jumper with a delicate finish in a fine mix of cable and pointelle knit patterns with ribbed edges, as well as a range of delicate details such as hand knitted flowers and a knitted Aiayu logo on the front.
The average time it takes Aiayu's skilled hand knitters to complete the TONJA jumper is 50 hours – a testament to the level of detail and craftsmanship that goes into making this garment.
Slightly cropped and boxy fit with elegant volume. Size down for a slimmer fit.
100% baby llama wool of the best selection, sourced and refined locally in Bolivia in a WRAP certified factory.
Washing is not always necessary, and it is hard on your garment and on the environment. Baby llama wool is a self-cleaning fiber that requires less washing than other materials. To save resources, just air the garment for a refresh. But if you want to wash the garment, we recommend hand washing, 30 degrees, with high-quality liquid wool soap (Eucalan or Sonett). Let the garment soak in water for 10-15 minutes. Rinse in 30 degree water. Avoid wringing, squeezing or squeezing out the water and let the garment dry flat. Steam at medium temperature for a nice finish.
If you have a very gentle washing machine, it is possible to wash the Aiayu garment in the machine on a wool program 30 degrees, low cycle. Washing in a machine is, however, at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee individual program settings on washing machines.
